TM101 Twenty-Minute Meditation Technique
Group Workshop

In this workshop, Gene guides participants through a mindfulness meditation.

We begin with an overview of Thought Management 101 concepts, and then transition into how these concepts apply to the importance of meditation in your life.

We then talk about what meditation is, the benefits of a regular practice, and what you need to do to prepare. From there, we go through the guided meditation.

When finished, we reflect on the process and discuss experiences as time permits.

To prepare: Be rested, and don’t eat a full meal too soon before arriving. If you have time, read the free instructions.

Quit Smoking Using TM101
Group Workshop

In this group workshop, Gene guides the participants through the process of changing conscious thoughts and actions about smoking, and then deprogramming the subconscious.

We begin with an overview of Thought Management 101 concepts, and then transition into how these concepts apply to addictions, especially smoking.

Next, we carefully and fully reinforce the steps to change conscious thoughts and actions surrounding the act of smoking. We talk about real life situations that could happen as you work with them, and what to do when you struggle against them, as most people who are making this transition do.

Then we proceed outside to go through the process of consciously smoking a cigarette. As you may know from reading the free instructions, this technique does not advocate throwing your cigarettes away or going cold turkey; that only makes your bum them from strangers and feel bad about it. We work at a higher level, and reinforce the positivity of the process. So be sure to bring at least one cigarette with you to the session.

After we finish the conscious smoking exercise, we return to the studio to discuss the process, solidify the concepts, and answer any questions that may be on the participants' minds.

Next, we turn our attention to deprogramming the subconscious. We go through what it means and how to do it, in detail. We read the affirmations aloud, talk about when it is best to use them, and share suggestions.

Then, we discuss follow-up steps. This includes setting the stage for evaluating how you are doing as your addiction to nicotine and the act of smoking starts to fade away. We address ways to deal with possible (and probable) backsliding, getting back to the steps, and loving yourself through this journey.

This workshop is a two-hour session led by Gene, with interaction among the participants. You learnd the steps critical to making the transition into a non-smoking life. It is all about bringing the concepts explained in the Practical Application to life! It is a kind, gentle, and fun process; yet, it comes with a realization of the seriousness and urgency needed to get this habit behind you.

Lose Weight Using TM101
Group Workshop

In this workshop, Gene guides the you through the process of changing conscious thoughts and actions surrounding your body image, eating awareness, and exercise habits, as they pertain to weight loss.  We also walk through the process of deprogramming subconscious thoughts connected to these same areas of life.

We begin with an overview of Thought Management 101 concepts, and then transition into how these concepts apply to weight loss.

Next, we carefully and fully reinforce the steps needed to change conscious thoughts and actions surrounding your body image, eating awareness, and exercise habits. We will talk about what might happen as you work with them, and what to do when you struggle against them, as most people who are making this transition do.

Then we get into some practical exercises. We surface some of the typical thoughts you may be having about your body image, especially those related to the culture and other peoples’ expectations about how your body should look. We practice taking the power of your thoughts about your body away from the autopilots of the media, and bring them back into your ownership.

Eating awareness is next. We discuss the concepts around being fully aware of when, where, how, and how much you eat. We run through a practical exercise of eating awareness, and practice eating an apple this way. After finishing the conscious eating exercise, we discuss the process, solidify the concepts, and answer any questions that may be on your mind.

The discussion then turns to exercise. We talk about the importance of an exercise routine that will work for you, and make a commitment to a regular practice.

Next, we turn our attention to deprogramming the subconscious. We go through what it means and how to do it, in detail. We will read the three sets of affirmations aloud, talk about when it is best to use them, and share suggestions.
